Art Eddy and Zach Rosenberg bring on Justin Sabo from Digital Dream Labs to talk about his gaming platform called Puzzlets.

Puzzlets combines hands-on play with interactive gaming to form one seamless experience, engaging the mind and teaching the player new ways of thinking. The starter set comes with everything you need and setup is simple. Puzzlets connects wirelessly to a personal device like an iPad or Android tablet.

Digital Dream Labs, LLC is based in Pittsburgh, PA. Their mission is to spark the curiosity in us all, mixing nostalgia with the technology children love.

Their first product, Puzzlets, uses toy puzzle pieces to control video games. This hands-on learning game philosophy starts with fun first and offers endless possibilities to the consumer market. Cork The Volcano, the first game for Puzzlets, enriches logic, sequencing, fine-motor skills through physical interaction and gameplay.

Justin Sabo is one of the co-founders Digital Dream Labs. Justin graduated with a Master of Entertainment Technology from Carnegie Mellon University and is currently a professional Game Designer in Pittsburgh, PA. He cares deeply about the user experience, especially the feeling of control in any interactive media. He has been designing video, card, board, and dice games since Christmas of ’89 when he was given a Nintendo Entertainment System. In his spare time, he has an interest in short film-making.

Prior to his graduate efforts, Justin studies computer science and mathematics and professionally used his graphic design skills to create websites and client advertisements. He also utilized online marketing techniques and search engine optimization (SEO) to increase visibility for company websites.
